Combined Immune Cell Separation, Activation and Culture

CoED Biosciences is transforming human tissue separation methods by introducing to market the Column of Expansion and Differentiation:
The CoED.

What is the CoED?
This innovative* and yet simple to use device facilitates a process that sits at the heart of all our products and enables healthy, functionalised immune cells to be purified from blood and tumour biopsies, in a single unit, without the need for magnets or centrifugation, thus saving precious time and resources.

Find out more about the CoED Biosciences product range here.

How does the CoED work?
CoED Biosciences has developed a process that harnesses the power of chemotaxis and gravity to gently separate cells from human tissues whilst retaining the integrity of the tissues and the viability of extracted fractions so that all can be used.  The functionality of separated cells is also preserved thus allowing the development of niches for each cell type; critical for applications such as isolation of immune cells from tumour biopsies and blood products.

Why use the CoED?
This simple, yet ground-breaking technology is

·         more physiological

·         more cost effective

·         more logistically accessible

than other cell purification and separation methods currently available.

The CoED represents a major technological advancement for:

  • Scientists who need to separate and expand immune cells from blood and tumour biopsies

  • Cell therapy developers who need a simple system to purify TILS and modify them before re-administering them

  • Scientists wanting to look at the influence of specific cytokines/chemokines on cell phenotype and behaviour

  • The CoED is being developed to create an end-to-end manufacturing system for CAR-T
